On July 28, 2022, LyZhon Bankston, a 28-year-old African American male, was found shot to death in his truck in Galveston, Texas. The incident occurred in the 7200 block of Heards Lane, where officers from the Galveston Police Department responded to reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered a black truck that had crashed into a fence, with Bankston inside, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
