Cameron Pearson, age 20, male, Black/African American, was shot and killed on the afternoon of July 1, 2025, in a residential area off Old Manning Road in Sumter County. Deputies responded around 2:58 p.m. to Bluegrass Court, where the victim, Cameron Pearson, age 20, was found deceased from a gunshot wound. The Sumter County Coroner, Robbie Baker, identified Cameron Pearson, age 20, and authorities described the incident as stemming from an altercation between acquaintances.
