In the warm evening of Memorial Day, a day typically marked by remembrance and community gatherings, tragedy struck in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park. On May 26, 2025, Amya Devlin, a 23-year-old Black female, was among a crowd on Lemon Hill Drive when gunfire erupted shortly before 10:30 p.m. The sudden violence of that night left a devastating toll on the community.
