On April 29, 1990, the body of Carol Dowd, a 46-year-old white female from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was discovered in a gruesome state behind Newman's Seafood at 4511 Frankford Avenue. Found nude in an alley around 2:00 a.m., she had been brutally beaten and stabbed 36 times in the face, neck, chest, and back.
