Margaret Eckard, a 92-year-old woman, passed away on January 12, 1983, at the Kearsley Home, a rest facility in Philadelphia. Initially, her death was ruled as natural causes, but later investigations revealed a far more sinister reality. Eckard had a pre-existing heart condition, which was fatally aggravated when she was attacked and sexually assaulted in her room. The assault led to heart failure, ultimately causing her death.
