Sandra Lindsay, a 24-year-old Black woman, was one of the victims of Gary Heidnik, a serial killer who kidnapped, tortured, and murdered women in his Philadelphia home between 1986 and 1987. Lindsay was among six women Heidnik abducted and held captive in a pit in his basement, where he subjected them to horrific abuse.
