Anne Marie Sinead Fahey, a 30-year-old woman, was last seen alive on June 27, 1996, when she went to dinner with Thomas Capano, a married attorney and former lover, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Fahey, who was the appointments secretary to then-Governor Tom Carper of Delaware, had ended her affair with Capano earlier that year. Her family reported her missing on June 30, 1996, and an extensive search ensued.
