On May 15, 1977, the body of Anna Duval, a white woman from Arizona, was discovered in a field near the Philadelphia International Airport. She had been shot three times in the head. Investigations revealed that Anna had traveled to Philadelphia to confront John Martini, a man who had defrauded her of her life savings in a real estate scam. Believing she was meeting him to recover her money, Anna instead fell victim to a fatal encounter.
