Jaycieon Bennett, 17, a Black male, was shot while sitting in a vehicle in the 400 block of Baden Street in south Toledo on the afternoon of July 4, 2025. Officers found him with at least one gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger was also struck by gunfire and taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, where she was expected to survive.
