Evan Sun, a 4-year-old boy from Toledo, OH, tragically died on May 12, 2019, after accidentally shooting himself in the head with an unsecured handgun at his family's home. The handgun belonged to his father, Fu Sun, who was an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper. The incident occurred when Evan found the unsecured weapon and accidentally fired it, leading to his death at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
