On June 13, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., 44-year-old Joshua Davis and his young daughter were on the porch of their residence at 355 East Lake Street in Toledo, Ohio, when they were both shot. Davis sustained two gunshot wounds to the torso, causing injuries to his heart and lungs. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His daughter was critically injured and hospitalized.
