Tyler "T-Dinero" Carr, a 24-year-old man from Toledo, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed on July 6, 2019. He was known for his kind personality and was deeply loved by his family and friends. Tyler was born on March 7, 1995, to Brian Carr and Thelma Smith, and he attended Waite High School. He enjoyed activities such as shooting ranges, collecting guns, music, and video games.
On the morning of his death, Tyler was found shot in the chest inside an apartment on the corner of White and Ironwood Streets near East Broadway Street. The incident occurred around 4 a.m., and police were called to the scene shortly after. Tyler's former girlfriend, Ashley Hammonds, expressed her sorrow and hope for justice, stating that Tyler was a family man and the father of her children.
Following Tyler's death, three men were arrested and charged in connection with the murder. Darion Martin, 24, was arrested and charged with aggravated murder while committing or attempting to commit felonious offenses. Dominique Roberts, 28, was charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated murder. Justin Wright was arrested by U.S. Marshals on July 8, 2019, after being on the run since the shooting. He was also charged with aggravated murder.
The investigation revealed that the four men, including Wright, Roberts, Martin, and Adrian Eaton, had robbed and shot Tyler during the incident. They brandished weapons and went through Tyler's pockets before shooting him. The trial for the accused began, and the court proceedings included multiple charges such as aggravated murder, murder, aggravated robbery, and aggravated burglary.
The community mourned the loss of Tyler Carr, and many attended a vigil to honor his memory and support his family. His family and friends continue to seek justice for his untimely death.
