On November 26, 2023, at approximately 3:45 a.m., 30-year-old Denzel Herron was fatally shot near the intersection of Hill Avenue and South Reynolds Road in south Toledo, Ohio. Responding officers found Herron with a gunshot wound to the chest; he was transported to the University of Toledo Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The Lucas County Coroner's Office confirmed that Herron died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. The incident marked the 37th homicide in Toledo
