In an apartment in northwest Oklahoma City, a day of youthful innocence turned into a tragedy. On a Sunday afternoon, July 6, 2025, three-year-old Kenari Windom, a Black male child, was in a bedroom where adults were present. One of them, 22-year-old Anthony Lawrence Grizzard Jr., was reportedly dating the roommate of Kenari's mother and was occupied with a video game. Beside him on the bed lay a handgun he owned.
