Stephanie Crohan, 63, was found dead alongside her husband inside their Jamesport home on the evening of June 11, 2025, after Riverhead Town Police responded to a welfare check at approximately 8:30 p.m. at 56 Lagoon Court. When officers arrived, both were discovered with gunshot wounds. Detectives from the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad began investigating that night, and by the next day authorities said the evidence indicated a murder-suicide.
