In the early evening hours of Thursday, June 12, 2025, the sense of community in the 200 block of Elm Street in Clarksdale, Mississippi, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When officers from the Clarksdale Police Department arrived at the scene around 7:30 p.m., they discovered the grim reality of the situation.
