On May 22, 2023, 15-year-old Cornelius "CJ" McGee Jr. was fatally shot in Clarksdale, Mississippi. The incident occurred near the 1200 block of West Second Street around 4:30 p.m., following a reported residential burglary. McGee was discovered deceased at the scene.
