On September 19, 2023, 32-year-old Jerry Seamster from Friars Point, Mississippi, was fatally shot. He was transported to a Clarksdale hospital with gunshot wounds and later succumbed to his injuries.
At the time of his death, Seamster was out on bond facing serious charges, including two counts of murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Initially, his bond was set at $1 million but was subsequently reduced to $100,000.
