In the late summer of 2023, a shooting incident in Clarksdale, Mississippi, resulted in the death of a 37-year-old man. On the evening of Tuesday, August 22, 2023, officers from the Clarksdale Police Department were dispatched to the vicinity of South Edwards and Kentucky Streets following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered the body of Roosevelt Walker, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
