Ferguson, who operated Ski's Wrecker Service and was also associated with Clarksdale Public Utilities, was fatally wounded during a shooting incident that authorities described as a rampage. The tragedy unfolded in the early morning hours on James Washington Street in the nearby town of Friars Point, located within Coahoma County. The chaotic event resulted in Ferguson's death and left another individual injured, prompting an immediate response from local law enforcement and emergency services.
