Ellis Pittman, a prominent attorney from Clarksdale, Mississippi, was tragically shot and killed on June 26, 2015, during a deposition at his law office. The incident occurred when Pittman was deposing Recardo Frazier, a contractor he was suing for substandard work on his home. The deposition, which was expected to be a routine and non-emotional proceeding, turned deadly when Frazier unexpectedly snapped and shot Pittman in the stomach.
