Carey Cota, a 35-year-old woman from Las Vegas, was killed late Sunday night, June 22, 2025, in what authorities described as an apparent murder-suicide. Police were called just after 11 p.m. to an apartment complex in the 9200 block of West Charleston Boulevard, where she was found inside with a fatal gunshot wound. The Clark County coroner identified her as Carey Cota and ruled her death a homicide caused by a shotgun wound to the head.
