Tanisha Finley, a 43-year-old female also known online as "Bubbly," was fatally shot on the night of June 8, 2025, near the iconic fountains of the Bellagio hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. She was with her husband, 44-year-old Rodney Finley, known as "Finny Da Legend," who was also killed in the incident. The couple, who were YouTubers from Arizona, were livestreaming to their followers at the time of the attack, and the shocking event was captured on video.
The Clark County Coroner's Office later confirmed that Tanisha Finley died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head, and her death was ruled a homicide.
The tragic shooting was the culmination of a long-standing and public feud with another YouTuber. The conflict, which reportedly began in 2023, had played out online through videos and social media posts. Friends of the couple stated the dispute escalated after an incident where Tanisha was allegedly pepper-sprayed by the suspect. On the evening of the shooting, the alleged assailant confronted the Finleys during their livestream in front of stunned tourists. Without a word, the man opened fire, shooting Rodney first before turning the gun on Tanisha.
The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Manuel "SinCity-Manny" Ruiz, fled the scene but turned himself in to Henderson police the following morning. He was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon and is being held without bail. In his statement to the police, Ruiz claimed he acted in self-defense, asserting that he believed Rodney Finley was reaching for a weapon and that he mistook a "shiny black object" in Tanisha Finley's hand for a gun. However, law enforcement officials have contested this claim, stating that no weapons were found on either of the victims at the scene. The Clark County District Attorney has publicly called the self-defense claim "garbage," and prosecutors are considering seeking the death penalty.
