Corinthian Shepard, 40, a Black woman from Shreveport, Louisiana, was killed on July 5, 2025. That morning around 7 a.m., Shreveport police were called to the 6200 block of Windermere Drive. Officers found two people with multiple gunshot wounds; the female victim, identified in funeral notices as Corinthian Mechelle Shepard was pronounced dead at the scene by Shreveport Fire. A wounded man was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health with life-threatening injuries and later listed in stable condition.
