In the summer of 2025, a domestic dispute in Shreveport, Louisiana, ended in tragedy, claiming the life of 40-year-old Corinthian Shepard. On the evening of July 5th, police were called to her residence on Windermere Drive, where they discovered Shepard suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. The incident unfolded inside her own home, a place that should have been a sanctuary.
Investigators quickly identified her husband, Richard Williams, as the alleged shooter.
The violence reportedly erupted in front of Shepard's children. In a heroic attempt to protect his mother, Shepard's 19-year-old son intervened, shooting Williams. Despite the son's efforts, Corinthian Shepard, a mother of four, succumbed to her injuries.
Following the incident, Richard Williams was taken to a local hospital to be treated for the injuries he sustained. He is expected to survive. Upon his release, he will face a charge of second-degree murder in connection with his wife's death. Authorities have confirmed that Shepard's son, who acted in defense of his mother, will not face any charges for his actions.
