On June 23, 2025, in Southwest Baltimore’s Edmondson Village, Corey Washington, age 41 and male, was discovered outside a vehicle that had crashed into the rear of a house and caught fire on the 4100 block of Woodridge Road. He had multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, was taken to an area hospital, and despite medical efforts, died of his injuries. Police said the case, initially a shooting investigation, was upgraded to a homicide after his death.
