In the afternoon of April 11, 2023, the life of 21-year-old Ro Lee Faison Jr., a male, was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore. The incident that led to his death is believed to have taken place in the 100 block of North Monroe Street. It was there that he sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, legs, and head.
Around 3:35 p.m., officers from the Baltimore Police Department's Western District were dispatched to the 1800 block of West Lexington Street following a
ShotSpotter alert. Upon their arrival, they discovered Faison suffering from his severe injuries. Medics quickly transported him to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Medical Center, a place of last resort for the city's most critically injured. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene and have taken control of the ongoing investigation. The preliminary findings pointed to the North Monroe Street location as the place where the shooting occurred. Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding the homicide to come forward and contact the Homicide detectives. To date, details regarding any potential suspects or arrests in the case have not been released to the public as the investigation continues.
