Djuan Tillett, a 24-year-old Black male, was shot and killed on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. The fatal incident occurred around 5 p.m. in the 700 block of Richwood Avenue, where police officers responded to a report of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Tillett suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Despite the immediate response from emergency medical services and his transport to a local hospital, the gravity of his injuries proved to be insurmountable. Tillett was pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after his arrival.
