In the pre-dawn hours of December 16, 2021, Justin Michael Johnson, a 38-year-old Black man, was sitting in his 1997 Lincoln Town Car on Lucia Avenue in the Yale Heights neighborhood of Baltimore when he was ambushed and fatally shot. An hour and a half earlier, Baltimore Police Officer Keona Holley had been shot in her patrol car in a similar ambush-style attack.
