On a warm Friday evening in Laurel, Maryland, the life of 33-year-old William Denard Askew, a Black man known affectionately to his loved ones as 'Little,' was tragically cut short. On July 25, 2025, at approximately 10:20 p.m., officers responded to the 13200 block of Laurel Bowie Road after reports of a shooting.
