D’Anthony Brown, a 19-year-old male, was shot late Sunday morning, August 24, 2025, while sitting on the front porch of a home on Bellehaven Trace Drive in Baton Rouge. Officers responding around 10:18 a.m. found him suffering from multiple gunshot wounds after being flagged down by a passing motorist; he was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries. Police publicly identified him the next day.
