In a quiet Shreveport neighborhood, a story of domestic turmoil culminated in the tragic death of 27-year-old Kalisia Franklin. On the morning of Saturday, September 6, 2025, police responded to a call at a residence on DeSoto Street. Inside, they discovered Franklin's body in a back room that bore the tell-tale signs of a violent and desperate struggle.
The initial discovery pointed towards a grim narrative of domestic abuse that had reached its fatal conclusion.
Investigators at the scene quickly identified Franklin's 30-year-old boyfriend, Jacobi Hughes, as a person of interest.
