Sharon Gosey, a 59-year-old resident of Shreveport, Louisiana, was fatally shot on April 9, 2024. The incident marked the 20th homicide in Shreveport for the year.

The perpetrator of the crime was identified as Sharon Gosey's son, Lederrick Dewayne Gant, who is 37 years old and also from Shreveport. Following the shooting, Gant reported the incident to the police himself.
