On March 13, 2024, Erica Pitts, a 30-year-old resident of Shreveport, Louisiana, was found dead along with her partner, Tavarae Loneman, 28, also from Shreveport. The bodies were discovered in a parked car that was still running, located in a lot at the intersection of Clanton Street and St. Vincent Avenue in the Caddo Heights neighborhood. The discovery was made shortly after midnight, and both victims had been shot numerous times. They were pronounced deceased at the scene at 12:21 a.m..
