In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Shreveport, Louisiana, a grim discovery was made in the Caddo Heights neighborhood. On March 13, 2024, the bodies of 30-year-old Erica Pitts, a Black female, and 28-year-old Tavarae Loneman were found inside a parked, running car at the intersection of Clanton Street and St. Vincent Avenue. Both residents of Shreveport had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight.
