In the spring of 2023, the life of a 35-year-old woman, Amaya Jacobs, was tragically cut short in Shreveport, Louisiana. On the evening of April 26th, she was discovered in her vehicle near the intersection of Fairfax Avenue and Morningside Drive, just a block from her home. She had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The incident that led to her death is believed to have been an attempted carjacking.
