On April 26, 2023, 35-year-old Amaya (also reported as Amayia) Jacobs was found deceased in her vehicle near the intersection of Fairfax Avenue and Morningside Drive in Shreveport, Louisiana. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred just a block from her residence in the 5200 block of Kent Avenue.
