On March 9, 2022, 28-year-old Joseph Burks was tragically shot and killed while working at the Angelwitch Cabaret in Lubbock, Texas. Joseph, a single father to a 5-year-old son, was described by his family as a "light" with a contagious smile. His untimely death left his family and friends in deep grief and confusion.

The suspect in Joseph's murder, Kennon Charles Shaw, was identified and arrested a week later in Austin. Surveillance video from the club showed Shaw firing a shot at Joseph ...
