In the summer of 2014, a domestic dispute in Shreveport, Louisiana, ended in the tragic death of 55-year-old Ruby Barnette. On the evening of June 29th, police were called to a home in the Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood, where they discovered Barnette with a life-threatening gunshot wound. She was quickly transported to a nearby hospital but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
