In the days leading up to her tragic death, 35-year-old Cynthia McCray, a Black female, reached out for help, contacting the Shreveport Police Department on six separate occasions. Her calls for assistance foreshadowed the violent end she would meet on May 12, 2015. On that Tuesday, a domestic dispute escalated to a fatal encounter that would leave both McCray and her apparent partner deceased in what was ultimately ruled a murder-suicide.
