Cynthia McCray, a 35-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on May 12, 2015, in Shreveport, Louisiana. The incident occurred at a residence located on the corner of Union Avenue and Pine Tree Drive. Cynthia McCray was fatally shot by her boyfriend, Cartez Alexander, during a domestic dispute. The altercation also resulted in the injury of Cynthia's 16-year-old son, who sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
