Shakyra Gray, a 16-year-old African American girl from Shreveport, Louisiana, was tragically shot and killed on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022. The incident occurred at a home in the 100 block of East Gregg Street in the Waterside neighborhood of central Shreveport. Shakyra was taken to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries less than an hour later. An autopsy was ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
