In the cool early hours of May 24, 2025, deputies answered a 5:53 a.m. call to the 800 block of Key Street in Macon’s Unionville neighborhood and found Isiah Macon, age 62 and male, unresponsive with a gunshot wound near Anthony Road. Paramedics rushed him from the scene, but despite treatment he died at the hospital, according to county authorities and the coroner’s office.
