On the night of September 16, 2025, the quiet of a New Iberia, Louisiana neighborhood was broken by the flashing lights of emergency vehicles responding to what was initially reported as a medical emergency. Arriving at a residence in the 900 block of Mississippi Street around 10:45 p.m., officers from the New Iberia Police Department discovered a grim scene.
