On the night of June 15, 2025, Solomon Lanham, 35, a Black male from Augusta, was found unresponsive from a gunshot wound at the intersection of Essie McIntire Boulevard and Luckey Street after deputies were dispatched around 10:39 p.m. He was taken to Wellstar/MCG, where lifesaving efforts ended with him pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m., according to the Richmond County Coroner.
