On January 20, 2024, 22-year-old Chrishawn Bennelle Martin of Augusta, Georgia, was fatally shot at Club Rain, located on Gordon Highway. Following the incident, Martin was transported to Wellstar MCG Health, where he was pronounced dead at 2:19 a.m.
