In the late hours of an autumn evening in Augusta, Georgia, the life of Reginald Eugene Johnson, a 32-year-old African American man, was cut short by gunfire. On October 17, 2022, in front of a Dunkin' and Baskin Robbins on Washington Road, Johnson, known to his friends as 'Lil Reggie,' was shot. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office received reports of the shooting at approximately 11:34 p.m. and responded to the scene.
