In the early morning hours of Friday, August 1, 2025, the life of 49-year-old Hispanic male Ruben Parga-Quintanar of Dodge City came to a tragic end in a north Wichita alley. First responders were dispatched to the 2400 block of North Jeanette around 8:45 a.m. following a report of a man down. Upon arrival, they discovered Parga-Quintanar suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:53 a.m.
