Tyrone Boykin, 46, a Black male, was found lying in a yard along Magnolia Street in Carrollton around noon on July 18, 2025, after an exchange of gunfire in the roadway. Officers rushed to the scene at 120 Magnolia Street, and he was taken to Tanner Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Family and friends later gathered to mourn him, recalling a man who loved time with his family and, in the words of relatives, had been trying to turn his life around.
