Jailene Cepeda, a 26-year-old woman, was found on the ground around 2:45 a.m. on September 13, 2025, in Chicago’s Humboldt Park, near the 1700 block of North Kimball Avenue. She had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, and was pronounced dead. Police said another woman, 36, was also struck by gunfire and seriously injured.
