In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 22, 2025, the sound of gunshots shattered the predawn quiet of the Kingman Park neighborhood in Northeast Washington, D.C. Responding to the sound, Metropolitan Police Department officers on patrol discovered a grim scene in the 1800 block of D Street, Northeast. Two men were found unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
