On August 4, 2022, at approximately 12:19 am, 24-year-old John Precia was shot and killed in the 3300 block of 14th Place, Southeast, Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene after reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers found Precia suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Precia was pronounced dead at the scene.
