In the late afternoon of Friday, May 16, 2025, tragedy struck in Colorado Springs when 38-year-old Bryan Orlando Parada was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. in the 2800 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue, just a couple of blocks north of Will Rogers Elementary school on the city's southeast side. When Colorado Springs Police Department officers arrived at the scene, a shopping center, they discovered Bryan Parada, who had succumbed to his injuries.
