Wayne Dylan Fix, a 19-year-old male, tragically lost his life on July 27, 2011, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a loving father to his two-year-old daughter, Kimberly, and was engaged to be married to his fiancée, Marissa Rudey. A 2010 graduate of Palmer High School, he was working at Safeway at the time of his death. Wayne was known for his dedication to his family, often spending his free time caring for his young cousins.
On that fateful day, Wayne was with his 16-year-old
brother, Aaron Fix, and their 16-year-old friend, Austin Wayne Howse, when they were all fatally shot. The incident that led to the triple homicide was reportedly an act of road rage. The young men were victims of a senseless act of violence that cut their lives short.
The investigation into the deaths quickly identified a suspect, Michael Arangio. However, before he could be apprehended and brought to justice, Arangio took his own life during a standoff with law enforcement. His suicide closed the case, leaving the families of the victims to grapple with their devastating loss without the closure of a trial.
